WaterWerks 2009 was carried out this last Saturday & Sunday and BPC was out in full force this time around as a show sponsor. More about this awesome event and our experience below.

For those of you in the dark, WaterWerks 2009 is the Premier German Car Show in the Pacific Northwest. Volkswagen and Audi are clearly the most prevalent classes while there is a strong Porsche presence as well. This year’s event was spread amongst two days; the first one of which was entirely dedicated to autocross. The entirety of Cheney Stadium’s parking area was designed and arranged as an autocross track, providing amateur and advanced autocross drivers alike the opportunity to really show what their cars can do on the tarmac. The course was shrunk down to less than a 3rd for Sunday as the grounds had to be cleared for the actual car show and show & shine areas.

Most of us arrived bright and early Sunday morning to set up our vehicles for the judged show. Some of our members even arrived earlier than 6:00 a.m. as volunteer duties required it. The day was fun as hell and we all had an amazing time. Some of us are suffering from severe sun burns and heat exhaustion, while others are suffering from severe alcohol poisoning and critical overdoses of awesome automotive imagery. We’ll recover though. Overall we had an incredible time and we are extremely glad to have been able to support the WaterWerks staff by becoming a sponsor this year and thus contributing to ensuring the event was a successful one. The Pacific Northwest simply must continue to have an opportunity to showcase the quality and the caliber of German vehicles in this region. We don’t quite yet have final numbers but attendance was almost doubled if not more, from last year.
